Perineal Aesthetics (Perineoplasty)
The perineum is the name given to the area between the entrance of the vagina and the anus. It is a very rich area in terms of muscle and connective tissue. Aesthetically correcting this area is called 'Perineoplasty'.
What causes perineal damage?
The perineum is very important in terms of providing support to the surrounding tissues. Due to gravity, pregnancy can cause relaxation in this area. Apart from this, some damage may occur in the perineum during normal birth. It is particularly damaged in difficult and traumatic births.
In normal delivery, the episiotomy incision, which is applied for the baby to come out easily, is also a procedure applied to the perineum. Scar tissue occurs as a result of poor healing of the episiotomy (opening of the sutures, infection, etc.) or improper closure.
Obesity can cause damage as it will cause an increase in the load on the perineum. In people who gain and lose weight quickly, some deformations occur in the perineal skin.
What complaints do defects in the perineum cause?
What is perineoplasty?
Perineoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes defects in the perineum, skin folds and deformities at the entrance to the vagina. The targeted stretch is an image without birth sutures and folds. It takes an average of 20 minutes. It is often applied together with vaginal tightening operation.
